One of TBA’s Seven Guiding Values is Tikkun Olam (Repair of the World): We are guided by the Prophets of Israel and our sacred teachings that call on us to take stands against all forms of hate, oppression and injustice – stands that we understand to be religious imperatives. We understand that our tradition implores us to care for our Jewish brothers and sisters as well as members of our local and global communities and our precious planet.
Family Promise North Shore Boston aims to prevent and end family homelessness and promote access to economic opportunity and housing stability through a holistic, family-centered, community-based response. Providing prevention, diversion and stabilization to families in need, continues to be vital especially in our neighborhood.

TBA is committed to being an inclusive, affirming community as well as to working for equal rights and dignity for all in our society. We participate each year in the North Shore Pride Parade and Pride Interfaith Service, as well as provide a vocal Jewish voice in the larger community in other events and actions.
TBA staff, rabbi and teachers work closely with Keshet. Keshet, which means “rainbow” in Hebrew, is a national organization that works for full LGBTQI+ equality and inclusion in Jewish life.
ECCO is a faith-based coalition of more than 37-member congregations that supports communities on Boston’s North Shore to more effectively live out their faith in justice, compassion, and the common good. TBA is an active member congregation, working on issues such as immigration, racial equality and raising the minimum wage.
Temple B’nai Abraham is part of the HIAS network which provides vital services to refugees and asylum seekers around the world and advocates for their fundamental rights so they can rebuild their lives. More volunteers are always needed to assist with fundraising, finding housing, rides, teaching ESL and more.

The BHRC serves as a resource to the City of Beverly and the public by providing education and support on human rights, diversity and inclusivity, with the goal of raising awareness and sensitivity to matters of human and civil rights. Members are appointed by the Mayor, and since its inception in 2016, Rabbi Adler has been active on the committee. Members of TBA have also gotten involved in its various programs and issues.
