The High Holy Day season is quickly approaching and we are looking forward to gathering as a community to reflect on the past year and to welcome a new year together. High Holy Day Services FAQs 

Where are services held? Services are held at Temple B’nai Abraham at 200 E Lothrop Street in Beverly. Main services are held in the sanctuary. Family Services for Children Ages 0-5 are held in the library. Family Services for Children Ages 6-14 are in the chapel. All service options are on the first floor. 

Do I need to register? Yes, everyone must register to attend services at TBA. A name badge will be made for you and given to you by a greeter. There is financial assistance available, please contact office@tbabeverly.org. 

Is there a cost to attend? Seats for High Holy Day services are included in membership. An individual membership includes one adult seat. Family membership includes two adult seats and seats for children age 26 and under. Members’ children over age 26 can purchase seats for $118 per person. Non-members can purchase tickets for $180 per ticket. Tickets are free for active or retired military personnel, college students, and folks over age 90, but you must register. 

Will there be security? Yes, we will have two private armed security officers as well as many trained volunteers.

Is there assigned seating? There is no assigned seating.

What if I arrive late or need to step out? It’s completely normal to come and go. Ushers can help you find a seat without disrupting others.

Are children welcome? Yes! Children are welcome at everything at TBA. We also have several services designed specifically for children. Please see the schedule of services. 

Is there a livestream option? Yes, services will be livestreamed on Zoom. Please contact the office to receive the link.

Is the building accessible? The building is wheelchair accessible. Our sanctuary is also equipped with microphones and fidget/sensory tools are available for those who need them. Please reach out to office@tbabeverly.org to discuss additional accommodations. 

Is parking available? TBA has a parking lot and is adjacent to many side streets that folks can park along. We encourage carpooling if it’s possible. 

Do I need to know Hebrew to follow along? No. Our machzor (High Holy Day prayer book) includes English translation and some transliteration, and clergy will guide the congregation through the service, noting page numbers along the way.

Is there a break-the-fast meal? Yes! Following the neilah service, we offer a light meal.

Where can I find a private space to nurse, take medication, or get water if needed? Water is available on the first floor in the hallway. The Director of Learning and Engagement’s office is available for anyone who needs a private space to nurse, take medication, or take a sensory stimulation break.
